Their lives never worked together, but Natalie Lawrence and Will Carter couldn’t seem to stay apart. 

Twenty years ago, they fell in love, knowing it would soon end when Will left for college. By the time he returned, Natalie was a single mom, preparing to leave for law school. They had a few blissful days together, and then she was gone. 

As their lives continued on different paths, they reunited every few years, unable to deny their chemistry and connection. But Will’s ties to their hometown remained as strong as Natalie’s need to stay away, and it always ended the same.

Then Nat’s past came back to haunt her, and Will made a choice that shattered her faith in him and left her broken-hearted. 

Now their paths merge once again at a conference in Seattle. The surprise reunion leaves them staring at each other in disbelief, one of them elated, the other terrified. Will has four days to prove he’s still the man Nat fell in love with. She can't deny how much she still wants him, but whether she can trust him and herself  is far more complicated.
